Coming on February 11, 2019: Improvements to Foresters debt management process

On February 11, 2019, Foresters Financial™ will introduce improvements to our debt management process. This will allow us to provide MGAs, AGAs and advisors with a consistent approach to how debt is managed.

What’s new?
  1. When the Debit Balance is greater than or equal to $100 in any pay period, the debt management process will begin and continue to advance week over week if debt remains greater than $100. (On February 11, 2019, advisors with existing debt greater than $100 will start at the beginning of the process no matter how long that debt has been outstanding.)
  2. When the Debit Balance is greater than or equal to $100 for a period of 4 consecutive weeks, the advisor will receive an email notification and a letter requesting payment of the debt within 21 days. A copy of the email will also be sent to their upline.
  3. A second email and letter will be sent after 7 consecutive weeks of debt greater than or equal to $100, requesting payment of the debt within 14 days. The upline will receive a copy of the email.
  4. The third and final email and letter will be sent after 10 consecutive weeks, requesting payment of the debt immediately, with a copy of the email sent to the upline.
  5. If the debt is not paid, the advisor’s contract will be terminated for cause at 12 weeks. The advisor’s debit balance will be rolled up to the next immediate upline. The upline and the advisor are then responsible for the debt.
The Debit Balance is listed on the advisor’s Commission Statement.
