HOW TO SECURELY CHANGE BANKING INFORMATION

Protecting personal information is everyone's business! Here's how to securely perform a change banking information for a client.

Changes to banking information cannot be done by phone. You must use the Service Inquiries form to do it. The process is intuitive, and we've prepared some tools to help you:

Once you've completed the form, you'll get a confirmation email. The request is then forwarded to our administrative services who will update the information in our systems.

Warning! New banking information must be sent at least 7 days before the pre-authorized debit.

Important

Before processing a change to banking information, get a void cheque* for the new account (personalized with the client's name on it) to confirm that the banking information is actually theirs. Only payors are authorized to submit a request for a change in banking information.

*Starting January 5, 2021, it will be mandatory to keep the void cheque in your client’s file.

If banking information is changed without performing these verifications, payments might be taken from a third-party account.

Joint accounts: If consent is required from all account holders, please ensure that both people are listed as payors on the contract.

If the payor is no longer the same, please complete the required form: Pre-authorized Debit Agreement (PAD) – Payor’s Authorization – 09312E.

For changes to credit card information, you'll need to call us.
