Upcoming changes to licences and errors and omission coverage in New Brunswick
As of Feb. 1, 2023, if you operate an insurance agency (firm) in New Brunswick, your agency must be licensed. This is in addition to your individual advisor licence. You have until April 2, 2023, for your agency to become licensed. As well, advisors and agencies must give New Brunswick’s Financial and Consumer Services Commission (FCNB) proof they have a reasonable amount of errors and omission coverage. See more details on both requirements, including your next steps, here.
