Verdict is Out for Advisor Chargeback

CCIR and CISRO require risk control measures for Advisor Chargeback in segregated funds

CCIR and CISRO have announced their policy position on Advisor Chargeback in segregated funds. We are pleased to learn that insurance regulators intend on maintaining the Advisor Chargeback sales charge option. However, regulators expect that necessary measures be implemented to mitigate the potential risks associated with this compensation option. This bulletin reviews these control measures as well as what advisors should expect from regulators in segregated funds in the near future.
